FYI: the new Bennington Bypass will connect you directly to US route 7 north which you take to Exit 4, turn right onto Route 11/30 east. The Wiley is roughly 10-15 minutes east on Rt. 11 on the right/south side of Route 11 in Peru, Vt. Route from New York/Connecticut 2. New England route: Take I95 (the New England thruway) northeast to New Haven, take I91 north to Vermont exit 6 - Rockingham. Turn left follow route 103 northwest to route 11 in Chester. Take route 11 west to the Wiley in Peru. The Wiley is on the left/south side of route 11 and roughly 45 minutes northwest of I91. Routes from Boston: 1. Interstate Route: Take route 90 (Mass Turnpike) west to route 91 at Springfield. Take route 91 north to exit 6 - Rockingham. Follow route 103 northwest to Route 11 in Chester. Take route 11 west to the Wiley in Peru (6 miles past Londonderry). The Wiley is on the left/south side of Route 11 and roughly 30-45 minutes off route 91. 2. Scenic Route: Take Route 2 west to Route 91 at Greenfield. Take Route 91 north to exit 6 - Rockingham and proceed as 'interstate' directions above indicate. |
| Route from Montreal, Canada: 1. Scenic Route: Good for Summer/Fall. Take Rt #15 south which becomes Rt #87 (NY Thruway) at the US border. Take #87 to exit #33. Take Rt #22 south to Essex N.Y. and take Ferry across Lake Champlain to Charlotte VT. (Call 1-802-864-9804 for current schedule of ferries from Essex, NY to Charlotte, VT) Take Rt #7 south to Manchester Center exit #4. Turn left (Rt #11/30 east) to go up the mountain. At the summit of the hill stay on Rt #11 (straight) - The Wiley Inn is 1 mile past the Bromley Ski Area on your right. 2. Highway Route: Best in winter or for faster driving. Take Route #15 south which becomes Rt #87 (NY Thruway) at the US border. Take Rt #87 to NY east through Albany & Troy NY. Follow Rt #7 which becomes Rt #9 at Vt border to Bennington, VT where you will pick up VERMONT Rt #7 north. Take Rt. #7 to exit #4 for Manchester Center. Turn right (Rt. 11/30 east) and go up the mountain. At the summit of the hill stay on Rt #11 (straight) - The Wiley Inn is 1 mile past (east of) the Bromley Ski Area on your right. |
